Corporate Social Responsibility

Felton Consult are committed to maintaining standards as a responsible business, both in how we work with our clients and in terms of how we contribute to the wider community and the world around us.

It is important to our employees that they work for a socially responsible organisation and our approach therefore reflects our people.

We recognise that our activities as a business have an impact on our community. Wherever possible we are committed not only to managing that impact but, by using the resources we possess, making a real and sustainable difference.

Community

Based in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield in the heart of the West Midlands, we are actively involved in supporting and developing the local community to make a positive impact. We are members of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce and Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School Corporate Partnership. Our MD John Beggan plays an active role in the community: he has been a member of the Parents Association at Bishop Vesey Grammar School for seven years, Chairing the committee for 3 of those years, he is currently the Treasurer of the 20th Sutton Coldfield Scouts based in Streetly, and he helps run Streetly Adult Football Club who play in the Lichfield and Walsall League.

We support our staff members in fundraising for charities and voluntary work, recognising both the benefit to the community and to the wellbeing of the employees themselves. We are an active supporter of local scout troops and sports groups, and see the benefits this can bring to a community. We support both St Giles Hospice and Marie Curie as our main charities.

Environment

We make every effort to minimise any environmental impact our business may have on the environment. We are aware of the importance of carbon reduction and energy efficiency within both the company environment and any aspects of our services where our influence on project decisions can make a positive difference.

Employees

Our passion is to provide a starting point for apprenticeships in surveying, and currently have two members of staff on a structured training course aiming for Chartership. We provide the tools to enable personal growth and fulfilment for individuals and for the firm to work together to make a difference as a team. Under strict RICS Regulations & RICS Membership criteria we follow CPD guidelines which enable continual professional development. We operate an equal opportunities policy for all current and future employees and maintain regular forums for employee consultation and business involvement.
